usual high standard Pratchett where you find out how much you know about our world when you "get" the jokes!

Not one of Pratchett's best, but still both enormously fun and a personal favourite.

I lvoe Terry Pratchett and was delighted to read this book which contained some new characters. Set in the Disc World (which has an uncanny parralel to our own) it shows how the luckless hero Moist von Lipwig has been given a choice by the Patrician - become the saviour of the postal service or join the Angels. I think after some careful consideration he would have considered the latter. A great farce on our current postal state with some interesting characters - an obsessive pin collector, an evil villan (complete with parrot), a chainsmoking heroine and even a gender confused golem! It needs to be read to be believed. Don't miss this one.

One of my favs. Moist is a great character, flawed like all of Pratchett's characters, but very likable.

One of Pratchett's newest & best. The "Moist von Lipwig" books fracture the fundamental institutions of our society. Both pointed & hilarious. Mostly hilarious, really.

Pratchett has the amazing ability to surprise me. I don't see what is coming next. His reformed criminal-now postmaster is one of his best characters.
