A cute beginning to a nice series. Laura is a smart little girl who belongs to a caring and adventurous family. See what happens when they try and make their way West for a new life.

One of the most shaping books of my childhood. I can still pick out my favorite chapters and read them. They usually involve that brat Nelly though! Not amazing literature but a surefire way to develop a life-long love of reading!

Single-handedly one of my favorite books as a child. The story captures your imagination and can be read over and over again. I loved this book; it is a great read aloud too!

I can usually read any book on anything, but when it comes to the little house on the praire books I cannot. They are to flat for my taste, The writting has no excitment and it gets boring to read very quickly.

This is the first full-length book I ever consumed. My father used to read it to me before bed, and (as a seven-year-old) I absolutely loved it. I've been meaning to re-read it for years to remind myself of the details of life as an American pioneer family.
