Superbly, poetically written. The characters have depth but are still easy to relate to, and Woolf involves the reader with what the power of communication can do. A must-read!

My favourite Woolf novel. I'm still impressed with this book and marvel at how a brief sketch of a woman's character reveals her entire life and captures the essence of an era.

Virginia Woolf does an amazing job of questioning life and thought process while simply telling the reader a story about a woman who is planning a party. Simply amazing.
