I really enjoyed this book and always go back to it when I need cheered up.

The quintessential romance with the best opening line - "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife".

I re-read every couple of years, usually followed by a viewing of the A&E version of the movie, starring Collin Firth.

Great escapist litterature.
