Can't make my mind up about this book. I loved the movie and this books opening few chapters are great but it slows to a bore. Understandably a lot was cut out for the movie and having seen it I think should have been cut out for the book. Still a half...

Forget patriot Games it is simply a prequel to The Hunt for Red October. The main meat of office spook moving into the field carries the reader - and the key character Jack Ryan - through a fast escalating situation to a suitable peaceful cold war...
