The perfect tie-in for the trilogy. I loved it, the dialogue is rich, the characters are well developed and the battles, well they are just great. I think I am going to pick it up and read it once again.

Ents, Helm's Deep, Smeagol, and Shelob... what's not to like? While parts of the story (the Fangorn section) move more slowly than others, it's just a great book. Cirith Ungol remains one of the most vivid and frightening locations in any novel I've read.
