This is the first Jack Reacher novel and if you've not yet discovered Lee Child you have a thrill in store. All are excellent.

A really good book, such a great lead character that really pushes the story along. I look forward to reading many more of Lee Child's books.

The first and in many ways best Jack Reacher thriller. Like Durrenmatt's The Visit crossed with a Clint Eastwood movie. Superb.

Jack Reacher, the man with no name,no home,no roots and an all action, heroic past.Unassuming, potentially dangerous watcher.Adventures in run down Nowheresville USA.Man alone in the great landscape.Former rebellious miltary man(wouldn't you know it!?)

My hero but he loves and leaves-shadow across rhe landscape.

My favourite airport/holiday/beach/winter reads.

The birth of Jack Reacher - Lee Childs consistently engaging anti-hero. Great concept and plot that spawned so many sequels. Superb holiday reading.

A fast-paced journey through the mind of one of the scariest, ruthless, and toughest characters to come along in years. You might not agree with everything he thinks or does, but it's impossible not to root for Reacher as he plows through the South.
