This is a book signing for (and a chat by the authors about) 'Beat About The Bush: The Funny Side of Language' - a humorous read for all ages that looks at the funny things we all say in everyday life. Authors Phil Woods and Steve Smith take the reader on a hilarious journey through the language of everyday life. What would happen if we took clichés literally? How come all of us suddenly look like we need help with packing our shopping? How can we all spurce up the English language to make even the most menial of tasks a unique and enjoyable experience? Phil and Steve's new book answers these questions and many more about the language-based interactions we all have with society... and all in an amusing way. After the signing, which starts at 11am, everyone is welcome to join the authors at 5pm for a chat for about 10 minutes about some of the funny things they've heard people say recently. The event follows a recent and very successful signing day and the official launch of the book at Borders at Cheshire Oaks.
