Halloween is on its way and we would like YOU to write spooky, scary, ghastly, ghoulish poems to mark the occasion!
We know that we've got quite a few budding writers in our midst here at Bookarmy, so why not put pen to paper and see what terrifying verses you can come up with? You can write about anything - anything scary, that is. Witches, vampires, graveyards, ghosts stalking the halls at the dead of midnight... the possibilities are endless.
Post your poems in this forum before 30th October. We'll pick our favourite poem and send the winner a huge stack of books!

Did anyone else see the Last Chance to See series with Stephen Fry and Mark Carwardine that recently finished on BBC? Or has anyone read, or is currently reading the book? It's a fascinating series about the world's most endangered species and the conservation work that is being done in the bid to save their species.
What is your favourite animal that was focused on in the series?

A boy named Peter and his two sisters, Anna and Patience, travel from the City of Turmoil to the City of Happiness. An interminable journey, including 'The World of Dream' seems to be at the centre of "The Pilgrim's Progress", published in 1693. Divided into parts, the third is an epigraphic sequel by an anonymous author, added in editions up to 1853.
